ABOUT SMART GLASS ROOF CONTROLS
The Smart Glass Roof offers customizable lighting experiences by allowing occupants to control the natural light entering the vehicle via adjustable opacity settings. This advanced feature helps occupants avoid glare and assists with in-vehicle climate control while integrating seamlessly with the vehicle’s ambient lighting systems.
Smart Glass Roof Details
The Smart Glass Roof, standard and only available on the Cadillac CELESTIQ, is a panoramic glass roof divided into four sections, each adjustable for individual opacity control. It uses Suspended Particle Device (SPD) technology to change transparency levels quickly, from clear to dark, in 25% increments. The roof’s opacity can be adjusted via the Front and Rear Command Centers, or quickly set to All Clear or All Dark using a roof console shortcut button. This versatile feature also enhances the vehicle’s ambient lighting and greeting animations.
